MEMBERSHIP AT 13th BEACH

To become a member at Barwon Heads-13th Beach you will need to fill out a basic membership form that can be downloaded or sent through the mail.

There is no restriction on patrolling, associate members or junior active members- all are welcome.

At present there is a cap on nipper memberships since we have to ensure adequate numbers of water safety officers.

CLUB CAPTAIN

The role of the club captain is to co-ordinate patrols, training, and most other aspects of the lifesaving side of surf clubs. Therefore, if you have any questions about becoming a surf lifesaver please drop me a line.

We are always looking for new members of all ages and abilities, there is something for everyone, from first aid, boat rescues, board paddling and swimming, to radio operators and crowd control.

The minimum age requirement for your Bronze Medallion is 15, with a Surf Rescue Certificate being available for those 13-15. Younger members are encouraged to join as well, please see the Nippers section.

The Bronze and Surf Rescue Certificate training course dates will be advertised once dates are set. Training is available for other awards such as:

• Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
• Inflatable Rescue Craft (IRB) Crew Certificate
• IRB Driver Certificate
• Radio Operators Certificate
